Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) is a highly contagious that primarily affects wild and domestic rabbits. It is characterized by internal bleeding and liver damage and is often fatal. Common signs include bleeding from orifices, fever, difficulty breathing, and hemorrhages in the eye. In many cases, death occurs within 12-36 hours of infection.
If you own pet bunnies and are concerned that they could contract RHDV2, contact us for more information and to make appointments for the two-vaccine series. Your bunny MUST receive both vaccines in order to be protected from RHDV2.
