Locally owned and operated since 1988, Centre Animal Hospital in State College, PA is located just minutes from Penn State University. We are a full-service daytime companion animal hospital caring for cats, dogs, rabbits and small rodents. We understand the special role your pet plays in your family, and we are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet’s health care. We treat every client as if you are family and every pet as if he or she is our own. Our goal is to practice the highest quality veterinary medicine and surgery with compassion and with an emphasis on client education. You are our partner in your pet’s health. Our entire team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner.

We are committed to providing quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in:

  • Routine preventive care for young, healthy pets,

  • Complete medical, surgical and dental care as necessary during your pet’s lifetime,

  • Early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages, and

  • Senior pet care, including helping you decide if and when humane euthanasia may be appropriate.


Our facilities include a well-stocked pharmacy, an in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor kennels for hospitalized patients. Additionally, we work with an online pharmacy and a compounding pharmacy that deliver medications and foods right to your door.
